What More Could I Ask For?
The phone didn’t ring earlier today because I somehow turned the ringer off so I didn’t get the call from my urologist. He did, however, leave a message that simply said, “All is good, call me back.” He sounded quite happy but I have yet to talk to him. I’ll try again later this morning if he doesn’t get back to me. I must say, I feel a great deal of relief.
So far, at every turning point since my diagnosis of prostate cancer, I have heard the best possible news I could expect, given the diagnosis. One thing I am actually shocked over is how hard this surgical recovery has been. Hooked up to a catheter, I get to pee in a bag. The catheter is uncomfortable some of the time. Sitting for long periods of time is difficult. That being said, I notice that things are actually getting better every day. The catheter comes out on Friday morning, YEA! I will arrive at the urologist’s office with my Depends for Men, expecting to leak a little. That is a small price to pay to be free of cancer at this very moment.
I’ll have more to say tomorrow, but for now, I couldn’t be happier.
